And then there is me during all the work. As you can see, Bill's beautiful backsplash tile work behind me. Amazingly I have made it to 36 weeks and they are still hanging in. Shouldn't be too much longer!
Bill has made some amazing progress. The cabinets are beautiful and the tile is coming along wonderfully. He has been working non-stop on this huge project for about a month now. Not too much longer and he'll be able to sit back and enjoy!
I have to gloat a bit about Maria and Mom's handywork. I found a quilt that I really liked for Emma. Maria made Trenton's complete quilt to match Emma's so the room wouldn't look to mix and match with both cribs together. She did an amazing job and it looks even more cozy than Emma's! Mom then took the quilt and made the bumper, bedskirt, and sheets to match (plus a blanket!) I absolutely love it and am so glad they took the time to make it for me! Thanks Maria and Mom!!!
Demolition!! Bill decided to remodel our kitchen, family, and dining area. Including ripping out a wall, cabinets, mudding, retexturing, painting just to name a few. My new kitchen!!! I am so excited to have new cabinets and all. Babies will have a huge sink for bathtimes. Unfortunately now Bill will be expecting meals. :)
Another forgotten post in all the baby preparations. Now that I'm on bedrest I can catch up! Bill and I had a wonderful Valentines Day. The last one with just the 2 of us. I must say the cake was the best part! :)
I forgot to get these shots up on the blog. The boys had a fun day of ice cold golf and then we had a nice little party at Jason and Donna's. Happy 30th Birthday!
After days of work, the results are wonderful. Don't know if we want to do it again but very glad we did this one. Thanks to Bill for all his hard work on the days I had to work.
Our nursery is starting to come together. The changing table was built completely by Bill and one of his friends. The wood is a gorgeous wood called Brazilian Cherry. All we need to do is add the pad on top. For the closet, Bill added a second rod and shelf so we would have a bit more space for hanging clothes. Keep checking back for our newest project, a mural on the wall over the twin bed!
We are getting closer! Only a couple of months to go. Our little ones are growing wonderfully weighing in at 2.5 lbs (boy) and 2.3 lbs (girl). Our little guy is in the 65th percentile with our little girl in the 59th. Very impressive for twins. I am definitely feeling it, having gained over 20 lbs with the wasteline continually growing. The kicking and sqirming is pretty much a continual thing and I must say we are loving every minute of it. Baby A is our boy and Baby B is our little girl.
Had to add this picture of me at 20 weeks. We have another appointment next week and should get some more adorable baby pics but for now you'll have to settle for just the growing belly.
Yes, its growing by leaps and bounds. Mom and Dad were here for Thanksgiving and enjoyed pointing out the daily increase. These are a couple of pics of our babies (its confirmed, we are having one of each!!) at 18 weeks as well as me at 18 weeks. Our baby girl is waving at us and our baby boy gave us a cute profile.
After a rough first couple of months Sara is finely starting to feel better. She still can't compete with me yet at the dinner table, but she is getting close. We received confirmation a couple of weeks ago that one was definitely a boy. Yesterday we found out that our unknown is most likely a boy also...Sorry babe, I got you out numbered now. I forsee a lot of football, baseball and lots of rides on the fire trucks in the future..thanks for making every one of my dreams come true!
We finally have a wonderful announcement to make. We are being blessed with, not one, but two little miracles! We have one very squirmy one so Bill is definite that its a boy. The other stays pretty quiet in most of the ultrasounds so I'm keeping my fingers crossed its a girl. We still have a ways to go but are soooo excited. These are pictures of baby A and Baby B at 13 weeks. We are so glad to finally be able to share this with everyone. Will keep you all posted with any new updates.
Amanda teaches Sara the history of insects, she was super excited! We found this great park called the exploration place. Everyone had a great time learning about the history of aviation to a huge playground set in midevil time. Here Bill learns how to land a 747, don't quit your day job. Drew and trains, need I say more The kids were able to have some fun in the sun at the local water park. Lots of fun happening here!
Alyssa with one of the Grainger's dogs, Molly.
We were able to stay in the Grainger's home while we were there. Sara's sisters were able to come by and visit with the kids for a couple of days. Here is a picture of Dave teaching Amanda how to play piano. Hey Dave, nice shirt.
