Remember Moments

This post is kind of for me. I have a habit of forgetting all the cute things they do. Things have been a bit tough lately, I think we have definitely started the terrible twos times two. :) Toddler beds, removal of pacifiers, potty training... But there are so many adorable things they are doing that I don't want to forget all the smiles they cause. Just a few things I want to remember... We have recently moved the twins to toddler beds since we found both the twins could climb out of their cribs and try on all their hats and shoes instead of going to sleep. So, after the twins doing really well for a week, I stopped staying in the room until they were out. A couple of days ago at naptime, after going in several times to get them back into bed, I heard silence... finally... I thought. I waited a few minutes and still silence so decided to check if they were completely in bed (Trenton has fallen asleep with his legs hanging down to the floor twice and Emma has fallen out of bed twice). Surprise! They had gotten a hold of Emma's expensive diaper rash ointment and smeared it all over the walls, bedding, furniture, their own clothing, etc. Amazingly they missed the carpet. Needless to say, I have returned to staying in there until they fall asleep. We have a twin bed in the room along with their 2 toddler beds, so I just rest on the twin. Last night, I was laying there when the door moved a bit. Checked the beds, both of the twins were in the beds. Odd... well maybe the a/c turning on wiggled it a bit. Then it happened again. I sat up immediately and noticed a little body snaking along the ground back to his bed. Trent had figured out I couldn't see the floor between his bed and the door so he slipped out of bed silently and then snake crawled, he was completely on his belly, over to the door. He tried again tonight only chose to head to Emma's bed, where I could actually see him. I let him wiggle over there and just watched. He sat next to her bed and started whispering to her. She got a pretty big kick out of that. They both have learned to say 'love you' which comes out more like 'wuv ew' and so many other wonderful things. Emma loves to sing and often sings as she plays. When singing a prayer, both of them loudly sing along. So, my goal is every day, to see the blessings and joy above the tantrums and lack of good naps.
